John Challenge – Day 3 (John 4)

God spoke to me about …

Jesus’ time speaking with the Samaritan woman is becoming one of my favourite bits in John.  It shows the Master being interested in everyone regardless of their past.  But God spoke to me more about when the Samaritan women was confronted with her past and the challenge of who Jesus was.  She actually left her water pot, i.e. the reason she went to the well in the first place, to tell the townspeople about Christ.  I would imagine her reputation among them was not the best.  But she inconvenienced herself to be able to let others know about Christ.  She also was willing to face potentially non-welcoming people in her quest.

Change …

Witnessing for Christ (in whatever fashion) always seems to be coupled with a spiritual battle.  Certainly Satan does not desire people to be confronted with Christ/salvation.  It is easy for me to allow busyness get in the way.  I need to adjust myself to allow slots for on purpose evangelistic opportunities.
